About this book…
A Handbook for the Future is a summary of how humanity has emerged as a unique and dominant species. The core of this analysis draws on the principles of phenomenology and existentialism to construct a view of the nature of humanity grounded in human experience and the limits of human perception. At its heart, is a call for the tolerance of others and respect for the individual irrespective of faith, culture and tradition. Language is identified as the core mechanism of how humanity developed, and the book goes on to offer practical advice on what this means for day-to-day living. This advice covers how to understand the origins of personal belief and what others believe. This analysis highlights the dangers of passivity in the face of a complex world. The work emphasises the importance of individual responsibility and individual action in the process of shaping society in the past, present and future. Using a narrative style, this unique and practical philosophy unfolds the complexity of the contemporary world and offers an upbeat and optimistic view of humanity’s future.
This book is available in Paperback and Kindle editions through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk
